Without a moon

Or city lights

There seems to exist

More sound.

And all of those sounds feel magnified.

Frogs, birds, insects

Why are they still up?

Moving pebbles underfoot

But what kind of feet are out there!

We feel ourselves turning into hunted prey.

Our minds are playing tricks on us.

And we’re left to draw pictures with our minds

of what we can hear,

but cannot see.
